Winona Ryder stars in this supernatural thriller, where she plays a very devout Christian, who discovers that there is a massive conspiracy to allow the Devil himself to take up human form and wreak havoc on the Earth. She needs to convince an aetheist criminal prosecutor, Ben Chaplin, that he is at the centre of this conspiracy.

Winona Ryder is an immensely prolific actress, who hasn't made a hit box office movie for quite some time. Her movies please many critics, but don't sufficiently excite audiences. This film is a good chance for her to regain some box office clout. The film, looks very interesting, but it has to compete in a year, filled with Satanic conspiracy films, such as Depp's "Ninth Gate", Ford's "What Lies Beneath" and Arnies's "End Of Days". Ben Chaplin always seems to me, to be on the brink of breaking into the big league of Hollywood actors, but it has alluded him over the years, since his role in "The Truth About Cats and Dogs". Overall, I think the movie will be interesting to watch, and may prove to be a good draw at the box office.
