Based on the '70s television series of the same name. A mysterious billionaire, Charlie, runs a detective agency that uses beautiful women as operatives.
According to columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, when a "handsome, wealthy, charismatic young owner of a high-tech firm is kidnapped, the Angels are sent in to rescue him. He is also likely to be Drew Barrymore’s character’s love interest. The columnists also reveal that the team is hired by an Asian woman, who works for the man, though there is more to her than it appears. (Courtesy of Cinescape)

The movie looks very promising, that is if it ever gets made. Having not watched the series, I am not fully aware of its appeal, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Barrymore and Diaz were chosen primarily for looks, as well as having some acting ability. Drew Barrymore has completely revived her career after misfires like Mad Love, she starred in hits like the Wedding Singer and Never Been Kissed. Cameron Diaz is even more in demand, after her performance in the smash hit There's Something About Mary. The third Angel, who will it be... who knows, but producer better hurry up, as a summer release is vital for this movie to be a success. A huge budget also ensures that the movie will feature some awesome action sequences (as if that is the reason you watch Charlie's Angels anyway). Overall it should be a hit.
