The commercial success of this movie won't be that great. People don't mind seeing violence, but a movie, like this with a possible NC-17 rating will repel many people. The controversy of American Psycho began with the novel, years ago, and a couple years ago, a certain blonde star of Titanic fame, felt that the material was too "hot" for him to handle. Christian Bale will probably do a great job, as will the rest of the cast, but I doubt many, especially those of the fairer sex, will see this disturbing movie.
