During the Gulf Crisis of the early nineties, many questions were asked about US involvement. This film shows some of the hard truths about US involvement in Kuwait, as well as ensuring that there is an adventurous storyline. At the end of the war, a Special Forces Major, played by Clooney recruits three Army reservists, played by Cube, Wahlberg and Jonze, to accompany him in a mission to steal gold bullion hidden in the desert. Will they find what they want? Who knows yet.
Well, George Clooney finally hit a universallly right note with moviegoers in Out Of Sight, which more than made up for B*t*a* and R*b*n. Wahlberg excelled in Boogie Nights. Together these actors have what it takes to carry a movie. They are joined by Ice Cube, the rapper-turned actor, who no doubt cracks the jokes. The premise is good, but there are several controversial isssues about US involvement in the war, which are scrutinised, hence this movie could be blacklisted as too controversial. This is doubtful though, so overall I feel that the movie will be a worthwhile addition to Clooney and co's cvs.
